First Visit

Your First Office Visit

When new patients come to our clinic for the first time, we are always delighted to meet them. A comprehensive evaluation and discussion of potential treatment options will be part of your initial session. This crucial 60-minute appointment will provide us with information about your orthodontic requirements. We understand how essential your time is, therefore we may set aside time following the exam for diagnostic data in order to speed up your treatment. X-rays, pictures, and imprints for study models are among the documents that must be kept in order to design an acceptable treatment plan.

What To Expect In Your Exam

During the initial examination for each patient, we will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment. We encourage you to ask questions as well.

  • Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
  • Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
  • What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
  • Do any permanent teeth need to be removed?
  • How long will treatment take?
  • How much will it cost?
  • What are my payment options?

During your initial consultation visit, we will do our best to answer any and all questions you may have about your or your child's orthodontic needs. You will leave our office knowing what your treatment options are, their expected time frames, as well as information on financial arrangements.

Please assist us by providing the following information at the time of your first visit:

  • Any panoramic X-ray taken within the past twelve months.
  • If you have orthodontic insurance, bring your insurance card. By providing this information at the first visit, we will be able to give you an estimate of your costs.
